International Grašac Festival

Celebrating the Most Important Indigenous Variety
The International Grašac Festival is held on the plateau of Petrovaradin Fortress, gathering numerous winemakers from Serbia and neighbouring countries. As the most important indigenous white grape variety in the region, Grašac is currently cultivated on more than 3,500 hectares across our country. This event aims to familiarise the wider wine public with the distinctive characteristics of this variety, making a significant contribution to elevating local and regional wine culture.
Regional Wine Evening at the Fortress
From 17:00 to 22:00, visitors will have the opportunity to sample a carefully curated selection of wines presented by over 30 registered wineries from Serbia, Hungary, Croatia, and North Macedonia. In the open-air space by the ramparts in front of the art ateliers, the rich flavours of premium wines will be complemented by a gastronomic offering of cheeses, kulen (traditional spicy cured sausage), and ham. Accompanied by tamburica (traditional string instrument) music and a magnificent view of the Danube and Novi Sad, the International Grašac Festival will pay a well-deserved tribute to a variety that truly merits recognition through its exceptional quality.
