Gaston Wine Winery

The rural family household of the family Kurilić that includes the Gaston Wine Winery, is located on a vast area that covers a fishpond and an exit onto the Danube tributary. If someone decided to pick a place that would successfully illustrate all of one′s own love, talents and entrepreneurial craftsmanship, one of the selected options would be structured the same as the household Kurilić in Neštin.

The household was envisaged as a small hamlet consisting of couple of houses (with a wine cellar) linked together through a brick paved alley, separated by fruit plantations, small plantations of herbs, as well as unavoidable bee hives. The first thing that you notice is that the owner of the household, Milan Kurilić, is an enthusiast and collector of items from Vojvodina′s urban and rural everyday life that were made over the period of several centuries.

Each house, as well as summer garden represent exhibition venues for collected items among that include pieces of furniture, paintings, embroidered “kuvarice“ (cloths with messages for housewives), photographs and plaques, radios, first television sets, accessories for weaving, folk costumes, furniture parts, kneading troughs, wooden troughs etc.

The Kurilić household is a place reserved for creating unique tourist offer where it is possible to organize day time visits, birthdays or some other events in an interesting ambience together with Vojvodina′s pleasures and wine, minstrels, tamburitza players, rock groups or dance ongoings as well as theatre shows. The owner is a proven caterer from Novi Sad, the founder of a renowned Gaston Pizzeria that nowadays in Neštin ambience prepares numerous forgotten dishes that originate from the same place as the items from private ethnological exhibition: from Kisač and Crvenka up to Padej and numerous other sites from Banat and Bačka.

The owner′s love and dedication to viticulture and winemaking are very important. Everything begins in a vineyard, placed on the Vizić stretch, from the following assortment of grapes[1]: Italian Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Marselan. The wine offer includes: Kurilić′s Riesling, Gaston Sauvignon Blanc, Fulfuns Cabernet Sauvignon and Majkin Rose. The above-mentioned wines are quality, fresh,  natural wines that have all the values of Fruška Gora terroir preserved through implementation of traditional and modern approach in viticulture and wine making. The wines produced by this winery were awarded golden and silver medals at wine exhibitions and competitions in Banoštor, Temerin, Apatin, etc.

The programme for tourists can include different amenities and services. The guests have at their disposal the hall with the capacity for up to 80 persons, summer garden with the capacity for up to 40 persons and a hall for smaller groups for up to 18 persons. The future projects include the dance hall, which best illustrates the diversity and unexpectedly interesting offer.

The gastronomic and wine pleasures followed by unavoidable stories about the wines, gastronomy and ethnological pieces can be organized for wine enthusiasts and admirers of forgotten dishes subject to previous arrangement. Nevertheless, the events, as part of the fully formed tourist product or those linked with private, corporate celebrations and gatherings represent a trademark of this household.
