It seems as if you walked into attractive rhythms of easiness and familiarity when getting into Novi Sad after coming out of urban layers of Belgrade reality and glamorously decorated Budapest. A wide central Novi Sad Boulevard of modernly designed contours that still radiates the propinquity of the socialist period, leads decidevely into a mixture of multi-ethnic architectural milieu typical of central Europe dating back to the 19th century and early beginning of the 20th century. The urban city core is determined by towers and domes of protestant churches, Greek-Catholic church, Synagogues, Roman Catholic and Orthodox temples. Numerous buildings and palaces were constructed in the styles of classicism, eclecticism, secession, Bauhaus and moderna thanks to the merit of architects many of who had European reputation
