WDSF European Championship Novi Sad 2026
From 13 to 17 May 2026, Novi Sad will play host to the European Championship in Disco, Jazz, Modern and Contemporary dance, as well as Show Dance. According to announcements from the World DanceSport Federation and the Serbian Dance Federation, SPENS (Sports and Business Centre Vojvodina) is expected to welcome over 1,500 dancers from across Europe. This turnout positions the event among the largest and most diverse DanceSport competitions on the continent. The championship marks a significant milestone for the local dance scene and confirms its growth within a European context, bringing together competitors of almost all age categories – from young talents to seasoned senior performers.
Throughout the five-day competition, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy performances in solo, duo, small group, big team, and mega team formats. Each of the featured disciplines uniquely combines elite athletic prowess, technical precision, and artistic expression, requiring high levels of endurance and teamwork. This spectacle not only promotes dance as a sport but also aims to inspire a new generation of champions, further establishing Novi Sad as a key destination on the map of the European DanceSport community.
