Moving Balkans Contemporary Dance Showcase
This May, Novi Sad will play host to the prestigious regional platform Moving Balkans Contemporary Dance Showcase. This event serves as a central gathering point for contemporary art enthusiasts, focusing on the development and promotion of the Balkan dance scene through a dynamic four-day programme.
Choreographic achievements and innovative formats
As part of the main Moving Balkans Contemporary Dance Showcase programme, visitors will have the opportunity to see ten of the finest artistic works selected via an open call. Alongside stage performances, the event features “Dance Scape Pitches”, a segment where choreographers present their ongoing projects, as well as a supporting programme rich in VR presentations, installations, and co-productions. These formats allow the audience to immerse themselves in the world of contemporary dance beyond the confines of the traditional stage.
Professional networking and development of the scene
Beyond its artistic focus, this dance platform brings together a large number of international delegates, producers, and festival directors. The aim is to create a space for significant encounters and dialogues that will shape the future of contemporary dance in this part of Europe.
