Tanz Platz
International Contemporary Dance Festival
The Tanz Platz International Contemporary Dance Festival showcases emerging talent on the European scene and promotes current trends in contemporary dance, performance art, and movement. This event was established with the support of the European dance platform Aerowaves, whose primary focus is supporting young and upcoming dancers and choreographers working in the field.
Supporting Young Artists Through the Aerowaves Network
The Aerowaves network, a major supporter of Tanz Platz, was founded in 1996 and brings together experts from 33 European countries. Its mission rests on the belief that young dance artists develop most effectively through direct engagement with audiences and international peers.
Throughout the festival, audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy a carefully curated selection of dance performances by artists from Serbia, the region, and across Europe. Alongside the main stage programme, visitors can look forward to dance film screenings and an accompanying exhibition, further enriching the cultural offering and leaving the audience inspired by the originality of contemporary artistic expression.
