International Museum Day at the Gallery of Matica Srpska
The Gallery of Matica Srpska will mark International Museum Day on 18 May, a global event which this year features the theme “Museums Uniting a Divided World”. This date, which also marks the 80th anniversary of ICOM, highlights the role of cultural institutions as bridges for dialogue and understanding. The Gallery doors will be open from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm, and admission is free.
Culture on Prescription
The “Culture for Health – Culture on Prescription” programme will take place from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. Through expert-guided tours and workshops, participants will explore the themes of identity and ecology, experiencing art as a space for relaxation and mental well-being.
Free Visitor Guides
Free exhibition guides will be available at the Museum Shop throughout the day. Families can use the “Signpost Through the World of Art” and “An Adventure for Big and Small” guides, while the “Art for Two” guide has been specially prepared for couples. The International Museum Day event at the Gallery of Matica Srpska offers a wonderful opportunity for a personal discovery of art.
