Carnival of Joy – Solo Exhibition of Paintings by Alena Gojak
The Cultural Centre of Novi Sad is set to become a meeting place of art, emotion, and the celebration of life. The grand opening of the solo exhibition of paintings “Carnival of Joy”, by the Bosnian-Herzegovinian painter and illustrator Alena Gojak, is scheduled for 22 May at 19:00. The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy a distinctive atmosphere, enhanced by the presence of numerous guests and a guided tour hosted by Tijana Dapčević.
An Artistic Vision Reminding Us of True Values
In the modern era, when daily life passes by faster than ever, we often forget about love for oneself and our loved ones, as well as the need to pause and feel happiness in small moments. The “Carnival of Joy” exhibition is designed as a unique reminder of the state of carefreeness and inner freedom carried over from childhood. Through vibrant colours and carefully arranged details, the artist conveys messages of love, closeness, and hope. Each canvas invites the viewer to rediscover the beauty of the present moment and serves as a reminder of the importance of mutual care and attention.
About the Artist Alena Gojak
Alena Gojak is an internationally recognised artist whose work is characterised by powerful emotional expression and recognisable symbolism. With an active career spanning over twenty years, she has exhibited her works in global metropolises such as New York, London, Rome, Vienna, and New Delhi. Her creative work also carries a broader social dimension, as confirmed by her collaborations with the Novak Djokovic Foundation, the United Nations, and the UNDP, alongside the application of her paintings in art therapy for children and adults. Alena is also an Audi brand ambassador in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The exhibition in Novi Sad will be open to visitors until 31 May 2026.
