Bukovac Marathon
The Bukovac Marathon is a traditional sports and recreational event bringing together nature lovers, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts in the immediate vicinity of Novi Sad. Starting from the village of Bukovac, the event provides an exceptional opportunity to actively explore the natural, cultural, and historical heritage of Fruška Gora.
Trails and Competitive Programme
Participants can choose from six trails of varying lengths, ranging from 6.7 to 45.7 kilometres, tailored to all fitness levels. The routes encompass renowned sights such as the Vilina Vodica Spring, Stražilovo with the tomb of Branko Radičević, Astal, the TV Tower, and Iriški Venac, alongside the Fruška Gora monasteries of Grgeteg, Krušedol, Velika Remeta, Staro Hopovo, and Novo Hopovo Monastery. The Bukovac Marathon also hosts the Vojvodina Trekking League aimed at active competitors, seamlessly blending sport, the promotion of healthy habits, and cultural heritage.
