Antić Days
Every March, Novi Sad falls in love all over again with the verses of its favourite poet, Miroslav Mika Antić. The “Antić Days” manifestation represents much more than a mere cultural protocol – it is a week-long celebration of freedom and ageless art. Through poetry evenings, discussions, and visits to Novi Sad schools, the city revives the memory of the man who understood both the “Plavi čuperak” and the “Garavi sokak” equally well.
The central pillar of the event is the expert Round Table dedicated to Mika’s work, which sheds new light on the depth of his artistic genius each year. The pinnacle of the event is the presentation of the prestigious annual “Miroslav Antić” Award. This prize is awarded for the best book of poetry published in the previous year, directly supporting and encouraging contemporary poetic creativity in our region.
