26th Vidovdan Gathering of the 63rd Parachute Brigade Veterans
The 63rd Parachute Brigade Veterans’ Association Vojvodina – Novi Sad is organising this traditional event, titled “Under the Parachute Canopy”. This year’s 26th Vidovdan Gathering of the 63rd Parachute Brigade Veterans will be held at the Stražilovo Recreational Area in Sremski Karlovci, beautifully blending a glorious military tradition with engaging tourist attractions.
Programme and Military Skills at Stražilovo
The programme of events and military skills showcase at Stražilovo will commence on Friday, 26 June, with the gathering of participants, a motorcycle parade, and a rock concert. Saturday, 27 June, is designated as the Public Day, offering visitors an exhibition of weaponry, a display of equipment, a solemn memorial service, and addresses by official dignitaries. The main highlight of the day will feature spectacular parachute jumps from aircraft, alongside demonstrations of precision skills such as knife throwing and crossbow shooting. The gathering will conclude on Sunday with a holy liturgy at the Church of Saint Peter and Paul in Sremski Karlovci.
