Vinat Winery

The family Vinat Winery (Vinarija Vinat) developed under the auspices of several generations of the Tot family from Erdevik. In the last century, Janko Tot planted the first vineyards on “frtalj i po lanca” (around 600 m2) of land, on pointed sticks, and then his son, the craftsman Janko, continued to nurture the vineyard and make wine from its yield.

In the time of the socialist Yugoslavia, the business was inherited and expanded as a family treasure by Andrija Tot, an educated expert in viticulture and fruit growing. He planted new vineyards on the Lake Moharač, that fairytale place where the beauty of nature and the abundance of fruit in autumn paint a clear definition of a rural idyll. It is no surprise that the current owner of the winery, Ivan Tot, returned to the family estate after completing his studies of economics in Bratislava and continued the tradition of viticulture and winemaking with his wife Tanja and his parents.

The Tot family opted for the following assortment of grapes[1]: Italian Riesling (Grašac), Frankovka, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The following wines are on offer: Grašac, Traminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Aurora (Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon) and Frajla Rose (Frankovka and Muscat Hamburg). These are quality wines created by carefully cultivating the vineyards in a way that allows nature to give us the best. Here, bottles are filled with wine with the best features of the Fruška Gora terroir and the sunshine obtained on the slopes of the Lake Moharač.

If we would sublimate everything that the winemaking family Tot holds as values that they defend and live, then they are love for work that motivates them, respect and love for nature and above all family and all the values that come from it. All this is proven by their wines that have been awarded many times at fairs, festivals and wine festivals in Temerin, Inđija, Čortanovci, Erdevik, Berkasovo and others.

The wines of the Vinat Winery have a good reputation among wine lovers of Sremska Mitrovica, Ruma, Putinac, Inđija, Novi Sad, Bački Petrovac, Bačka Palanka, Čelarevo, etc. Thus, every Friday, larger quantities of wine that have already been ordered are brought to the home address of the customers.

You can come to the Vinat Winery for wine tasting and purchase in the family house in Erdevik upon a prior notice, two to three days in advance. Groups of up to forty people will be hosted in the summer period of the year, in a neat, green yard where tables are set and all the wines of this wine house are tasted with wine separation snacks. Based on prior arrangement, it is possible to organize lunch.

For the purchase of wine, the winery is open every day, according to the set opening hours. The plan is to build a wine tasting room on the Lake Moharač, which will bring this winery a new quality within the offer for tourists and wine lovers.

Announcement is mandatory for group visits.
Opening hours: Monday to Sunday from 07:00 a.m. to 07:00 p.m. (wine sale)
