Prekogačić Winery (Vinarija Prekogačić) continues the family tradition of grapevine growing that started by the end of the 19th century. Some twenty years ago, the current owner of the winery, Sima Prekogačić, planted a domestic grape variety Probus in the family vineyard in Beočin, which gives the royal fruit and the wine the character of the Fruška Gora terroir. In addition to Probus, which bears the properties of Kadarka and Cabernet Sauvignon, the grape assortment of this winery consists of[1]: Muscat Hamburg, Italian Riesling, Župljanka, Vranac and Slankamenka.
As the grapevine wakes up in the spring, like no other fruit, so the power of new life flows into the winemaker, and then flows into the wine of Prekogačićs and everyone who tastes it. The wines of the house: Prekogačić Probus, Prekogačić Riesling, Prekogačić Rose and Prekogačić Bermet (red) were awarded at wine fairs and festivals in Novi Sad, Banoštor and Neštin.
Prekogačić wine is obtained by natural fermentation, and the recognizable values of this domestic wine have won a loyal clientele, among which there has recently been a foreign audience that visits the nearby monastery. Prekogačićs love the visitors they receive in the modernly decorated tasting room. Wine tasting with local products such as: ham, bacon, sausage, cheese, fat and bread, and then the purchase of wine is possible upon prior notice.
