Imperator Organic Winery

Imperator Organic Winery (Organska vinarija Imperator), established in 2011, is connected with Salaxia Winery, with which it shares tasting and restaurant space, but also much more than that. It is the matter of the same life philosophy that underlies the efforts of the owners of both wineries to make wine which, as Bela Hamvash says in the Philosophy of Wine, will elevate a man from a disturbed world so that he can be returned to his place in the golden age order.

It all starts with the assortment of grapes [1] from the vineyards in Rakovac and Erdevik, which consist of: Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Rhine Riesling, Traminac, Sauvignon White, Sila, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Pinot Noir, Prokupac, Cabernet Franc and Vranac, continues with nurturing it, hand picking, and by and using the technology of wine production devoid of industrial influence. The wines of this house, truly and strongly coloured by the Fruška Gora terroir, make a kind of bridge to nature. They offer red and white wines with an organic certificate that bear the names of Roman emperors born in Serbia: Decivs, Maximinvs, Qvintillvs, Claudivs, Constanitvs. The offer also includes wines from the young vineyard Sila Nika and Grašac, and red blends Animus and La Vida.

At the just concluded Grand Wine Appraisement of Serbia in 2021, the wines of this wine house won the following awards: in the category “Still wines from local and international aromatic varieties” (gold for Gratianus 2018) in the category “White still wines from international non-aromatic varieties” (silver for Valerius 2017 ).
