Team research work that we undertook during 2014 and 2015, visiting the natural and created values of Fruška gora and becoming familiar with the tourist offer and market opportunities, resulted in creation of the “Tourist map of Fruška gora”. On that occasion, we visited all the lakes, picnic areas, protected zones, monasteries of Fruška gora, farms, ethno-houses, wineries, catering and accommodation facilities, villages and thus presented all the values of Fruška gora that are valorized by tourists. It was about, as the commentators of that project stated: “the first serious steps towards a better presentation of this very significant tourism potential”. On the one hand, we presented the touristic values of the area to potential visitors, and on the other hand, the employees of the Tourism Organization of the City of Novi Sad gained direct insights into real-life data, which they were then able to convey to interested visitors.
The photo exhibition “All colors of Fruška gora” was created in 2015 as part of the “Tourist map of Fruška gora” project. One of the results of that field research was a collection of around two thousand photographs, from which we selected more than forty, which were presented to the audience of Novi Sad in the Museum of Vojvodina. The exhibition “All colors of Fruška gora”, held on the Tourism Day of the same year, was extremely well received by the audience, so on several occasions part of the paintings were exhibited again, and in 2016 also through the Organizational Team for the candidacy of Novi Sad for the European Capital of Culture in 2021.
