Zanatlija Mountaineering Trail
Traditional Hiking Event on Fruška Gora
The Mountaineer’s Association “Zanatlija”, in cooperation with the Mountaineer’s Association “Poštar”, is organising the traditional event Zanatlija Mountaineering Trail (Zanatlijski planinarski put). Departure is scheduled for 10:00 am from the terrace of the “Zanatlija” Mountain Hut below Glavica. The location can be reached by private transport or by city bus line No. 72 to the terminus at Paragovo, followed by a 20-minute walk.
The 12-kilometre trail, with an elevation gain of 310 metres, leads past Savina Voda, across Rokov Potok and Popradina to the Vilina Vodica Spring, where a rest break is planned. The hike continues to the “Masna Ćupa” memorial monument, erected on the spot where Novi Sad mountaineers agreed to establish the Mountaineer’s Association “Fruška Gora” in 1924.
Return to the mountain hut is expected around 2:30 pm, when a complimentary meal will be provided for all participants. Hikers are kindly asked to bring their own food container and cutlery.
