Tamburica fest

The World Tamburitza Festival, “Tamburica Fest” is held in Novi Sad as the event with a unique concept and cultural mission of affirming tambourine music and the tamburitza as an instrument, as well as nurturing tradition, cooperation and friendship of artists on an international level. At the festival, orchestras from the country and abroad perform every year, and in the competitive part of the program, they compete to select the best one. In addition to the competition for the best orchestra of the World Tamburitza Festival, vocal soloists from all over the world take part in the competition for the best original song of the festival. The opening day of the festival is held in the centre of Novi Sad at Liberty Square (Trg Slobode) with a parade of cultural and artistic societies, folklore ensembles and tambourine orchestras.
