StandUpFest

StandUpFest is a stand-up comedy festival launched out of the desire to make quality humor a part of everyday life. In essence, stand-up comedy represents a direct and honest contact with the audience, and the comedian is at the same time the writer, director, and performer. Although it belongs to the genre of popular comedy, “stand up” has always inevitably bore a certain kind of social satire. In the era of new media, when the Internet and especially television channels are flooded with various forms of comedy, “stand up” is a kind of return to oratory and a simple form of social criticism. StandUpFest is held in Novi Sad and Belgrade and brings together a select team of “stand up” comedians from the domestic, regional, and international scene.
