Fridays at TONS (September 2)
Children’s Ensemble of KUD “Svetozar Marković”
The Tourism Organisation of the City of Novi Sad is pleased to continue its traditional Fridays at TONS programme, which celebrates local tradition, authentic flavours, and the dedicated people of our region at the end of every workweek. This Friday, between 6.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m., both outside and inside the TONS Info Centre, we will host the children’s ensemble of KUD “Svetozar Marković”.
The Spirit of Folklore and an Interactive Workshop
The youngest guardians of our heritage will present a medley of traditional dances in lavish costumes. Visitors will have the chance to see the preparations for the performance and the process of dressing in traditional attire, as well as take part in the “Zaigraj, Novi Sade” (“Dance, Novi Sad”) workshop to learn basic folk dance steps. An information desk will also be open throughout the evening for enrolment in the new season. The Fridays at TONS event is a wonderful opportunity to support these young custodians of culture.
