Novi Sad Sports and Family Gathering
Promoting Health and Unity
At the beginning of June, Novi Sad will become a hub of sporting spirit and family recreation. The popular Đačko Igralište (Student’s Playground) will host the inaugural “Novi Sad Sports and Family Gathering”. Organised by the “Borac” Judo and Sambo Club and held under the auspices of the City of Novi Sad, this event was launched with the aim of affirming healthy lifestyles and strengthening bonds within the local community through sport and socialising.
A Diverse Sports Programme for All Generations
Through the dynamic “Novi Sad Sports and Family Gathering”, visitors will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of disciplines. The programme includes martial arts demonstrations such as judo, sambo, wrestling, and boxing, alongside popular team sports like football, basketball, volleyball, and table tennis. For outdoor enthusiasts, activities such as archery have been prepared, providing a comprehensive insight into the richness of Novi Sad’s sporting offer.
Education and Fun for Youngest Citizens
A special segment of the event consists of family games and competitions, designed to encourage the joint participation of parents and children. Alongside the sports courts, the entertainment zone offers educational workshops, animations, and artistic performances, while the popular “crawling race” is organised for the youngest participants.
As an introduction to the main event, the first promotional meeting will be held on Wednesday, 13 May at 6 p.m. at Trg Slobode (Liberty Square), where citizens will have the chance to find out more details about the upcoming activities.
