International Film Festival “FEST“

The first “FEST” was held from January 8th to 16th, 1971 under the slogan “The Brave New World“ in “Dom sindikata“ (Belgrade). Since its beginning the festival has always had a series of main and several co-events the quality of which often surpassed the title given to it. Numerous publications, exhibitions and symposiums that took place during the festival were also considered “co-events”. The main event has however remained the same with the emphasis on non-competition (review) programme alongside with the competition programme titled “Europe outside Europe”.
