Laza Telečki Day
The Laza Telečki Day event honours the memory of a legend of Serbian acting — the first Serbian professional actor, director, and prominent member of the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad. Although his life was cut tragically short at the age of 32, he left an indelible mark on the cultural history of the city and the country.
Honouring the Artist in the Heart of Novi Sad
This cultural event aims to bring the life and work of this acting great closer to visitors of this renowned street, particularly young people. Throughout the day, the pedestrian zone will feature the “Laza Telečki” exhibition, showcasing his creative journey and contribution to theatrical art.
Cultural and Artistic Programme
The highlight of the programme begins at 17:00 in the garden of the “Lazin Salaš” restaurant, where a lecture on the life and significance of the artist will take place. The Laza Telečki Day event will be further enriched with tailor-made drama and music performances along the street itself.
