Growing up in a City of Culture

Museums of the 21^st century are places of encounters of various forms of art and culture, luring audiences of many interests and different age categories. For that reason, the Gallery of Matica Srpska, in cooperation with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, Music Youth of Novi Sad, “Radosno detinjstvo” kindergarten and primary schools of Novi Sad and Zone 021, is implementing the “Growing up in the City of Culture” project.

Through the project take place within the Future of Europe programme arch, parents and educational institutions have the opportunity to provide children with their first musical and artistic experiences in the museum, starting from the earliest ages, when children are still babies, to lower school ages, to familiarize them with the cultural heritage and artistic life of Novi Sad and motivate them to embrace it actively from an early age. In this way is formed a new generation of audiences who regularly visit and participate in the creation and realization of cultural contents of their city.
