The History of Brewing in Vojvodina

The exhibition “Beer: To Your Health!” offers a valuable opportunity to discover the long-standing tradition of brewing that has evolved over the past centuries. The exhibition has been curated by Veselinka Marković, Museum Advisor, and Dr Aleksandar Horvat, Senior Curator and Historian.

The Development of the Industry Through the Centuries

The display covers the comprehensive development of brewing in Vojvodina, from the first artisanal breweries in the 18^th century to modern industrial production today. Visitors have the opportunity to explore the story of the development of breweries in Pančevo, Apatin, Čelarevo, Zrenjanin, Vršac, Bečej, and Sremska Mitrovica, as well as their impact on the socio-economic life of the region.
