Orthodox New Year’s Eve

The Orthodox New Year’s Eve will be organized in 50 locations, including cultural, administrative, business and educational buildings, as well as catering facilities. Performers of different genres will perform in completely unexpected places. Tickets at promotional prices are on sale until December 23 and can be found on the Gigs Tix outlets as well as on their website.

Opera for kids: U cara trojana kozije uši
One of the events for the youngest to mark the Orthodox New Year’s Eve is the opera for children “U cara trojana kozije uši” performed by the Association of Artists “Visoko C” from Novi Sad. Toddlers will have the opportunity to get to know with one of the most famous folk tales and legends that are part of our cultural heritage, so this content will be presented to them in an interesting and child-friendly way.

Trkulja sings chansons
World-renowned multi-instrumentalist, composer and singer Slobodan Trkulja and Balkanopolis will perform romantic chansons, legendary romances, jazz and love songs with a piano accompaniment, thus leading the audience on an unforgettable musical journey. Reviving contemporary tunes that marked a musical era, Trkulja will showcase a new side of his talent and give the audience a whole new experience. The special guest of the concert will be the Novi Sad Ladies Choir.

Aklea Neon
Orthodox New Year’s Eve in Novi Sad will be accompanied by Afro-soul and ethno rhythms and tunes brought by Akle Neon from Osijek, a traveling musician and songwriter. Behind her is the first solo tour where she has performed over 50 concerts and has garnered audience sympathy from Dubrovnik to Berlin. She is known in the media as a fairy rhythm and beat that can be clearly seen in her distinctive style and songs that move somewhere between reggae rhythms and gentle love tunes.

„Love Hunters“

The Body as an Instrument: The Play “RiKa TaKa”

Mikula, Besne Gliste and JAL
The fusion of different sounds that lead to reggae, but not lacking in ska, hip-hop, punk is brought by the Novi Sad residents Josip A Lisac (JAL), the Besne Gliste from Belgrade and Mikula from Banja Luka. The band, Josip A Lisac (JAL), is led by a similar idea as their Belgrade counterparts, Besne gliste a band who is a year younger, which is to expand the possibilities of alternative music today by intertwining different musical styles. Their energy will be joined by the authentic Bojan Mikulić Mikula, whose author’s work is characterized by folk language, irony, satire, absurdity.
