Blockstock Festival – POSTPONED
Blockstock Festival was established in 1998 and held in the Park at the Railway station. During two decades long existence it has hosted numerous great names of national and regional rock and punk scene, such as Ritam Nereda, Partibrejkers, YU group, Brkovi and many others. A part of the city bordered with Boulevard of Jaša Tomić, Boulevard of Liberation, and Boulevard of King Petar I known to older fellow-citizens as Banatić, and to younger ones as Blok (Block), has always cherished the tradition of urban, city culture that rock music makes an integral part of. Due to its long tradition, the fact that entrance has always been and will be free, namely due to positive vibrations transmitted by the park environment, the Blockstock Festival has been one of the favourite gathering points of Novi Sad residents for almost two decades. A long-term co-operation of organisers with the Moto Union of Vojvodina adds to a pleasant mood of the Festival so that procession and exhibition of two-wheel vehicles that accompanies Blockstock is a unique attraction. In addition to the greatest names of the national and regional punk-rock scene the Festival also offers the opportunity to young, non-affirmed demo bands to participate.
