Do kraja sveta Wine Cellar (Vinski podrum Do kraja sveta) is located in Kovilj on the Bačka side of Novi Sad. It was founded in 2006. The vineyards of this wine house are located in the area of Leskovac and Bujanovac. The assortment of grapes [1] which is the basis for wine production consists of: Merlot, Muscat Hamburg, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.
The following white wines are offered: Mlad mesec, Šansa, Sauvignon Blanc (premium), Chardonnay (premium), Kraj sveta as well as the red wines: Merlot (premium), Mlad mesec and Kraj sveta, and Aura Rosé. The basic series of wines is made after the model of Bordeaux style, and the premium series is a free run, which is obtained by squeezing instead of crushed grapes pressing.
The owners of the winery are driven by the idea that the wine quality is achieved by both using the advantages of the region that the vineyards are erected on and the respect for tradition and the production process, but above all the love for winemaking. For pre-arranged groups, the Do kraja sveta Wine Cellar disposes with a tasting room that can accommodate up to fifteen people, but if necessary, tasting is also possible in a spacious yard that partially covers a mighty walnut, probably planted at the beginning of the last century next to an old farmhouse that is currently owned by the winery.
Several programmes are available to groups based on prior arrangement: Small wine tour (includes wine tasting according to the basic or premium series of wines), Big wine tour (includes wine tasting of both series of wines), Big wine slide (tasting of wine produced in different years) and Big Kovilj tour which, in addition to wine tasting and buying in the Do kraja sveta Wine Cellar, reveals many beauties of Kovilj.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 a.m. – 04:00 p.m., Saturday 08:00 a.m. – 02:00 p.m., closed on Sundays. Announcement is mandatory for group visits.
