Aven Winery

You will find Aven Winery (Vinarija Aven) in Inđija, in the block of family houses with gardens, orchards, obligatory pets, where you can still sit in front of the house in the early afternoon and talk to the neighbours. As soon as you step into the space for the visitors of this family winery, founded in 2018, you will realize that you have come to visit Dragana and Milan Injac. Everything here is neat, elegant, bright and comfortable.

However, the hosts are not recent winemakers, because Dragana transferred her love for Plavac and her knowledge of grapevine growing and wine making from her native Dalmatian Kosovo to eastern Srem. On several hectares in the vicinity of Slankamen, the Injac family grows[1] Rhine Riesling and Chardonnay, while they procure Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Muscat Hamburg from the wine growing area of Aleksandrovac. The following wines are offered: Aven Chardonnay, Aven Rhine Riesling, Aven Rose, Aven Merlot, Aven Cabernet Sauvignon and Aven Balance (Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon).

If the name is a sign, then the wines of the Aven Winery are a kind of inspiration and echo of the meaning that “aven” has, the Celtic symbol of three rays: life, light and truth that travel to the same center as the vital forces of balance of all that exists. These are the wines of pleasure, both for those who make them and for those who drink them, and the fruit of the idea that wine gets not only the properties of the climate where it is created, but also the love, sincerity and creativity of the winemaker who creates them.

Awards at international and domestic wine festivals have drawn the attention of wine lovers to this wine house. Some of the most notable awards include: The Balkans International Wine Competition and Festival (BIWC) 2019 (silver for Aven Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 and Aven Balance 2018); Decanter World Wine Awards London 2019 (silver for Aven Cabernet Sauvignon 2017); Decanter WWA 2020 (bronze for Aven Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 and bronze for Aven Merlot 2018); Decanter WWA 2021 (silver for Aven Merlot 2019 and bronze for Aven Balance 2019); BeoWine Belgrade 2020 Wine Fair (gold for Aven Merlot 2018, Aven Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 and Aven Balance 2018 and silver for Aven Rhine Riesling 2018); Wine Festival “Vinofest” Vršac, 2021 (the best red wine of the “Vinofest” for Aven Merlot 2019 and gold for Aven Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 and Aven Merlot 2018). At the Fruška Gora Wine Festival in Inđija 2020, Aven Merlot 2018 was the best red wine, and the following year Aven Merlot 2018 was declared the best wine of the festival.

Visitors will enjoy in the wine tasting space of the Aven Winery, which can accommodate up to fifty people standing or fifteen people sitting. Wine tasting and purchase, accompanied by sommelier hints, wine and other stories, is spiced with snacks that can include cheese, cured meat products, Srem pastries, strudels, and for a group of six or more people it is possible to organize lunch.

An announcement is required for all visits. The wines of Avens Winery testify to those life situations when you find the beauty and pleasure that you will often return to at places that the lights of marketing machines are not focused onto.

Announcement is mandatory.
