Only a ten-minute drive from the city center, on the bank of the Danube in Petrovaradinska Ada, is the Šaran 1953 Sport Fishing Association. The proximity of the second largest European river allows them to always have fresh fish on their menu, such as zander, carp and catfish, from which delicious fish soup is made, as well as specialties baked on talandara or plotna (griddle). Those who consume fish rarely can also try the meat on the grill.
The spirit of the location, the warm atmosphere, good cuisine and the proximity, and yet the separation from Novi Sad, attract guests from different parts of the city, by whom the čarda is viewed as a home away from home. An additional benefit for the youngest visitors is the leisure center in the form of swings and slides.
As the facility has 60 seats inside the čarda and 120 in the garden, organizing celebrations is possible with prior agreement.
Since escape to nature is most common when the weather is nice, booking is necessary for weekend visits.
On Fridays and Saturdays from 8.00 p.m. all guests are also greeted by tamburitza live music.
