Interfest International Wine Festival

The Interfest International Wine Festival is the largest wine event in the region and one of the most important events in Novi Sad. It lasts for three days and gathers a large number of wine producers, who have made it the most recognizable wine festival for twenty years in the country but also outside the borders of Serbia. It also offers food and accompanying equipment for wine from the whole region.

It is traditionally held in the narrowest city core, the pedestrian zone of Novi Sad in Trg slobode. The festival offer, which aims to promote wine and wine culture, as well as the large number of visitors even in the first years of the event, marked Interfest as one of the favourite festivals of the people of Novi Sad and other guests.

Year after year, a large number of participants, the most successful Serbian winemakers whose wines have achieved excellent results at relevant European competitions, and large and small family wineries are presented to the audience. In addition to the wine offer, visitors have the opportunity to try quality rakijas (brandies), homemade whiskey, and various liqueurs. There is also a rich gastronomic offer – kulen sausage, cheeses, cakes of Vojvodina, honey, pastries, etc.

The main festival program is held in the evening, from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m., while the day is reserved for the supporting program consisting of lectures, workshops and promotions intended for wine professionals. The atmosphere in the square is complemented by selected music, from the sound of the tambourine to classical, jazz and evergreen dance music.

Admission is free, and glasses and tasting vouchers can be purchased at the festival entrance.

Interfest is one of the most important events in Vojvodina, and especially in Novi Sad. It has the support of the City of Novi Sad every year for its contribution to economic and tourist development, with a special emphasis on promoting and raising wine culture but also maintaining international economic relations in the field of production and wine promotions.
