Vojvodina Guitar Fest
The Vojvodina Classical Guitar Festival was established in 2007 with the aim of reviving the Provincial Guitar Competition. Soon after the successful inaugural festival, the festival competition took on the name of its honorary president and the doyen of classical guitar, Prof. Dr. Jovan Jovičić. Due to significant interest from guitarists in Serbia and the region, the competition became international in 2011, attracting guitarists from all over the region. Today, the “Vojvodina Guitar Fest” has a deserved place on the world map of guitar festivals with its diverse program, and the competition’s name keeps alive the memory of Prof. Jovan Jovičić, PhD.
