Petrovaradin Carnival

Petrovaradin has a historical tradition of celebrating carnival gatherings and processions, leading to the idea of reviving the Petrovaradin Carnival. The central event of the carnival is the “Great Carnival Procession,” which will move through the streets of the Lower Town of Petrovaradin Fortress: Štrosmajerova Street, Vladimira Nazora Street, Beogradska Street, Lisinskog Street, and Prote Mihaldžića Street. The procession, in which a large number of carnival groups from the country and the region participate, starts at 11:00 AM in front of the Church of St. George, and it concludes in front of the main stage on Prote Mihaldžića Street. In the days before and after the “Great Carnival Procession,” a significant number of accompanying events will be organized, including exhibitions, lectures, and workshops for children.
