Open Fruška Gora championship in mountain running
The Fruška Gora Open Mountain Running Championship (OPFG) is held in November at the Glavica site. This traditional event annually brings together athletes and nature enthusiasts within the authentic autumnal setting of the Fruška Gora National Park. The event is designed as a friendly race, offering participants the opportunity to spend a day in the fresh air, traversing forest landscapes along a circular dirt trail.
The championship features two races – competitive and recreational – making the event suitable for both seasoned runners and those seeking a more relaxed pace. Beyond the sporting aspect, the event is well-known for its warm hospitality and social atmosphere following the race, where participants can look forward to traditional doughnuts and hot tea.
