International Novi Sad Literary Festival

The International Novi Sad Literary Festival gathers every year around 100 foreign and national authors from a large number of European and non-European countries by the end of August. In front of numerous audiences the authors read their poems and prose at the Square of the Newly Wed, at many sites of urban Novi Sad, as well as from the balconies in Zmaj Jovina Street. The Festival is also marked with critic discussions about literature and music played by young musicians from Novi Sad. Every year a special place belongs to a selected national literature and an anthology of contemporary poetry is published on that occasion. The Festival wards a renowned International Reward in Poetry Novi Sad, Branko’s Reward for young poets and Reward for the best slammer of Serbia. A representational selection of authorial contributions, from poetry to critical reviews created during the Festival is published in two volumes of “Zlatna Greda” Magazine.
