Highlander Fruška Gora
Highlander is a globally recognised series of hiking events that began its journey in Croatia in 2017. Today, these events are organised in over 20 countries worldwide, spanning some of the most stunning natural locations on the planet. The core mission of Highlander is to promote an active lifestyle and ecological awareness, striving to make multi-day hiking accessible, simple, and inspiring for all enthusiasts – from seasoned mountaineers to those encountering such a challenge for the first time. Through the “Adventure of a Lifetime” concept, participants have the opportunity to explore untouched nature, test their personal limits, and become part of a vast international community of outdoor lovers.
In early spring, the Fruška Gora National Park plays host to this unique event, offering participants the chance to discover the hidden landscapes of Serbia’s oldest national park. The Fruška Gora route has been meticulously designed to blend gentle forest paths with breathtaking viewpoints, offering two formats tailored to different preferences and fitness levels:
- Orion Format: Designed as a two-day challenge including one night under the stars. Participants will have the opportunity to camp at Iriški Venac, one of the most famous landmarks of Fruška Gora, where they can experience the true spirit of hiking camaraderie in an authentic natural setting.
- Lyra Format: Intended for those who prefer a more intensive one-day experience without an overnight stay. This route leads through carefully charted landscapes, revealing the most beautiful viewpoints and secluded forest trails.
Both formats provide full logistical support, allowing participants to focus entirely on the beauty of the scenery and their own personal achievement.
