Fortress Challenge

The Fortress Challenge takes place at Petrovaradin Fortress. The 10-kilometer course includes classic OCR (Obstacle Course Racing) obstacles but also entirely new challenges tailored to the specific configuration of the terrain. In addition to the exciting athletic endeavor, participants have the opportunity to visit some of the most interesting parts of the fortress, historical locations, trenches, and tunnels. Part of the course covers the largest counter-mine system from the 18th century and the third-largest underground defense system in the world, the Imperial trench. The race continues through the Franc Jozef Tunnel, Podgrađe, “Vodeni grad”, Gornji grad, past the famous symbol of Novi Sad – „Pijani sat“ and various tunnels, including the one through which the famous “Orient Express” train passed.
