AFŽ – The Autonomous Festival of Women

Guided by the experience of former activists and feminists and calling for women’s cooperation and solidarity known from earlier movements for gender equality and women’s artistic practices, the Autonomous Festival of Women (AFŽ) represents a unique promotion of feminism, gender equality and a culture of non-violence. The festival form will help present innovative ways for inciting discussions on women’s position in society, by interactive approach to the target group where activism is the aim, to encourage it for real and not just declarative improvement of the women’s position in the local community.
