Popovica recreational area (Fruška gora)

Popovica is the nearest recreational area to Novi Sad and is the starting point of the famous Fruška Gora Marathon. Popovica can be reached from Novi Sad by bus line number 74. The recreational area is equipped with benches and canopies.

The Orlovo Bojište viewpoint, Popovica Lake, mountain lodges and other facilities are nearby.

Orlovo Bojište is a former quarry, from the top of which there is a beautiful view of Iriški Venac and the TV tower.

On Popovica, you can also take a walk along the hiking trails. Near the Železničar mountain lodge, two circular health trails start, known as Slavica’s Trails. The first one is marked with a green circle and is about three kilometers long, and the second one is marked with a blue circle and is about four kilometers long. Both paths pass by the Popovica Lake, and on the route of the shorter path there is a viewpoint Orlovo Bojište.
