TOPIC
Feel the spirit of Novi Sad – We award the most beautiful spring and summer photographs of Novi Sad.
If you are a lover of long walks along the sunny quay, sightseeing picturesque spring landscapes and always lively summer atmosphere of Novi Sad, this Photo Contest is a proper challenge for you. All you need is a mobile phone or camera and the desire to turn your creativity into an idea you will share with us.
CONTEST OBJECTIVE
Promotion of Novi Sad.
BASIC RULES
-The Photo Contest is open to individuals over the age of 18, from the country and abroad, and participation at the contest is free.
-Employees of TONS, employees of donor companies, as well as members of their families (parents, spouses, and children) cannot participate at the Contest.
-Tourism Organisation of the City of Novi Sad has the unlimited right to use the photographs freely in promotional purposes.
-Photographs bearing the author’s signature will not be accepted. In that sense, please do not send photos marked in that way.
-Photographs sold to another person or used for marketing, humanitarian or other purposes may not participate at the contest.
-The organizer reserves the right to disqualify photographs that do not meet the specified criteria without prior notice to participants.
RULES FOR PHOTOGRAPHS
-Photographs must be taken exclusively in the territory of the City of Novi Sad and its surroundings (Sremski Karlovci and Fruška Gora).
-Authors can compete with black and white or colour photographs in digital form with a maximum of 2 photographs.
-Photos cannot be older than 12 months (the photographs made in spring and summer of 2021 and 2022 will be taken into consideration).
-The minimum dimension of the longer side of the photo must be 3,000 px, at least 150 dpi, in JPEG format, up to 10 mb and must match the topic of the contest.
PREPARATION AND MARKING OF PHOTOGRAPHS
-Photographs must be original, without intervention in the form of editing or graphic processing of the work, which changes the composition and elements. Processing of photographs other than basic digital processing, such as normal colour/contrast correction, is not allowed.
-All the works must be properly marked, so that the author should add to each work his/her Name and Surname and the location of the photograph when applying (for example: Petar_Petrović_Centar_Grada).
DURATION OF THE CONTEST AND SUBMISSION OF PHOTOGRAPHS
-The deadline for submitting the works is from May 10th, 2022 to August 10th, 2022 (until 23:59 o’clock).
-The works are to be sent by e-mail to: fotokonkurs.tons@gmail.com
-In the field of e-mail content when sending photos, you MUST MANDATORY enter:
- Author’s name and surname,
- Place and country of residence,
- Mail address,
- Phone number – not mandatory (for the purpose of notifying the winner),
- Place and year of photography taking, and
- The sentence: “I AGREE THAT MY PERSONAL DATA CAN BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE PHOTO CONTEST.ALSO, I CONCEDE THE PHOTOS OF WHICH I HAVE THE COPYRIGHT TO FREE USE TO THE TOURISM ORGANIZATION OF THE CITY OF NOVI SAD AND I ACCEPT THE TERMS OF THE CONTEST.”
SELECTION OF PHOTOGRAPHS
-The expert jury will select the most beautiful photographs within the period of one month after the completion of the photo contest and they will be exhibited at the TONS web site where visitors of the site will be able to view them. The authors of the most beautiful photos will be notified via the email address they provide when applying.
-The expert jury will be composed of:

- Rural household Miljević – dinner with wine tasting, overnight stay and breakfast.

COPYRIGHT
-Each contestant must be the author of the photographs he/she is applying with.
-The organizer undertakes to visibly mark the author if photographs are used.
-The author waives the fee for reproduction of works on the web site, publications, catalogues, posters and other printed materials of the Tourism Organization of the City of Novi Sad, as well as for reproduction of the works in other media, with clearly marked note on the author of the photograph.
-The works submitted to the organizer for participation at the Contest “Feel the Spirit of Novi Sad” are not going to be returned.The authors cede their photographs for the use on the portal of the Tourism Organization of the City of Novi Sad for promotional purposes and waive the right to any financial or other compensation.
-The organizer is not responsible for any copying, unauthorized publication, etc. of the received and published photographs by other persons.
-None of the submitted photographs may contain any criminal act/activity, nor endanger civil rights and laws. Also, the copyright, rules or public property or the right to privacy of any third party must not be violated. It is forbidden to add logos, logotypes, “watermarks” and similar markings on photographs.
-The organizer is not responsible for any inaccurate or incomplete information by participants or possible technical and software problems of the web programme-application of the Contest, as well as for possible problems in case of computer viruses and other unauthorized interventions and other technical problems.
-The organizer may use the submitted works for the purpose of promoting Novi Sad, without paying a fee, reserving the right to adjust, arrange, change or process the photograph (in terms of preparation for publication) without additional approval or consent of the author.
IDENTIFICATION OF THE REWARDED PARTICIPANTS AND TAKING OVER OF PRIZES
-The organizer will inform the awarded participant by phone or e-mail about the manner and time of prize take over, namely provide all other information relevant to the exercise of the right to the prize.
-If the awarded participant violates the rules of the contest, and especially if he/she refrains from submitting data relevant for establishing the identity when receiving the prize, the Organizer will not award the prize to such person.
-The participants shall take over the prize personally. In case that the participants are not able to take over the prize personally, a person authorized for such purpose shall be in the position to take over the prize.
PUBLICITY
-If they are entitled to a prize, the participants agree that their personal data (name and surname and place and country of residence) may be published by the Organizer, and used in the form of printed, audio, photo and video material, without paying any fees.
-By participating at the Contest, the participants accept the rules of the Contest and agree that the Organizer has the right to exploit all data sent by e-mail, free of charge, without any restrictions and without the obligation to obtain additional consents.
CHANGES TO THE RULES
-The Organizer reserves the right to change any of the above-mentioned rules of the Contest without informing the participants in advance.
-Changes to the rules have to be publicly accessible within the web site of the Tourism Organization of the City of Novi Sad.
TERMINATION OF THE CONTEST
-The Contest may be terminated in case of Force Majeure or unforeseen circumstances, of which the participants will be notified in writing on the website of the Tourism Organization of the City of Novi Sad.
-The Tourism Organization of the City of Novi Sad is not responsible for possible termination of the Contest.
