Founded in 1993, the Student Cultural Center Novi Sad (SKCNS) has grown into one of the city’s key spaces for cultural and artistic expression. The Center champions literature, theatre, music, contemporary and visual arts, and a wide range of creative projects by young authors.
SKCNS organizes numerous events throughout the year, including Rhythm of Europe, Novi Sad Comics Weekend, the TANZ PLATZ Contemporary Dance Festival, and the Upad Theatre Festival. In addition, the Center hosts guest theatre performances, exhibitions by students of the Academy of Arts, music concerts, literary forums, workshops, and book and magazine promotions—continuously supporting young creators and fostering cultural exchange.
Every year, the program features more than sixty concerts, a dozen festivals, forty exhibitions, and a wide selection of talks, workshops, and music promotion events. In recognition of its significant contribution to culture, education, and multiculturalism in the city, SKCNS received the October Award of Novi Sad in 2011.
