Slankamenacki Vinogradi is a God-given place for grapevine growing. There, on the slope that descends towards the Danube, opposite the Danube island of Janda, Stojanović Winery (Vinarija Stojanović) is located in several houses. Here, nature, and not the human hand, has taken precedence, so the organization of the space within the segment for visitors relies on a nonchalant note.
The focus is on quality wines and the gift of the owner, Ivica Stojanović, to join the gastronomic pleasures with those given by poetry about wine and music. Many years of knowledge and experience in the field of viticulture, winemaking, sommelier skills and catering business, Stojanović introduced in the creation and development of an offer aimed at guests for whom the condition of all conditions is quality wine and nature that flourishes unhindered.
The first wines of the Stojanović Winery were produced from those grape varieties that the owner found on the purchased estates. The change was made by the decision to plant autochthonous grape varieties in 2013: Slankamenka, Krokan, Vranac and Prokupac and to produce the following wines from those plantations: Stojanović Krokan, Stojanović Slankamenka, Stojanović Peharnik (blend of Vranac and Prokupac), Stojanović Bermet (white and red), Penušavi Stojanović Krokan and Penušava Stojanović Slankamenka. These are honest wines, made from grapes from organically nurtured vineyards, so the certificate of organic production for grapes and wines is expected as a certain achievement.
The awards were not missed either, and a few selected ones will be mentioned here. At the International Wine Fair in Aleksandrovac in 2013, Stojanović Peharnik (2012) took the title of absolute champion, and the same title was awarded to Stojanović Krokan (2016) at the Meetings of Wine Producers and Lovers in Aranđelovac 2017. The most recent is the big gold medal for Stojanović Peharnik (2016) won at the Wine Fair in Inđija 2021.
In addition to wine, visitors of the Stojanović Winery are given the opportunity, upon prior arrangement, to choose unusual, original gastronomic specialties, whether from a fish or “meat” menu. The selection of the Danube fish is as great as the ways in which it is prepared and served (smoked marinated fish, fish caviar, fish jelly), fish soup, even crayfish. There is also the possibility of choosing Srem delicacies, dishes made of large game, wild duck in honey, Podolska beef or goose under the “sač”, etc. However, the owner’s ability to spice everything up with verses about wine fascinates: from Omar Khayyam, Olivier Baslen to Đuro Jakšić and Zmaj Jova Jovanović.
Stojanović Winery was discovered by European campers, so Stojanović’s estate is located on camper routes that find many advantages of living in nature here. The announcement is obligatory for all visitors, and the owner of the winery will give instructions on how to get there in advance, since the road leading to it is waiting to be arranged and asphalted.
Announcement is mandatory.
