The promotion of the publication, thematic tours and the exhibition “By Tram and Train through Novi Sad” was held yesterday at the TONS Info Center. The event was intended for anyone who wanted to learn more about the former rail system in Novi Sad, as well as for hiking and cycling enthusiasts.
On behalf of TONS, the attendees were addressed by the Director, Branislav Knežević, and Miloš Dunjić, as well as Aleksandar Stanojlović, the architect and author of the brochure and exhibition.
An alternative thematic exhibition, which will be open in the TONS hall until June 19, cherish the memory of the former rail systems and the period when trains and trams were the main carriers of intercity and city traffic, respectively. The exhibition shows the streets and squares where trams and trains used to go through in the past, and which today represent tourist routes with the main tourist attractions. We remember those old trains and trams with longing and nostalgia.
Interesting stories about the former rail traffic in Novi Sad will be heard in two promotional tours organized by TONS: Trail of the Old Railway and Trail of the Novi Sad Tram.
