We invite you to enjoy the accompanying program of the Portrait of a Time exhibition this weekend. Photos by Felix Nadar. On Saturday, October 19, from 11.00 to 12.30 for the youngest we prepared a creative workshop Balloons and other flying wonders where the little ones will have the opportunity to learn about Nadar’s balloon adventures, and in the creative part to paint and model their craft.
On the same day, in the evening – 7.00 pm, the lecture of the first Novi Sad photographer Ivana Jovanovic Guduric, an ethnologist and senior curator of the City Museum of Novi Sad, awaits you.
Novi Sad boasts of the fact that it received the news of a great technical and cultural invention, such as photography, as early as 1839, and that it had its first photographic studio in 1854. Through the selection of the most important photographic studios in Novi Sad from the end of the 19th century, not only their work but also the significance that portraits created in them in the wider social context will be presented.
There will also be dominant formats, decorations, posing styles, but also fashion, family relationships and other details that photographic portraits tell us.
Also, on Saturday and Sunday, a curatorial guided tour of the Portrait of a Time exhibition will be organized on a regular schedule at 1pm and 5pm. Photos by Felix Nadar.
