In addition to clubs named Vojvodina, Novi Sad boasts a large number of active clubs in various sports disciplines. One of the older football clubs in Novi Sad is FC Kabel, founded in 1932 as a club of workers from the Novi Sad Cable Factory. Then there is FC Mladost GAT, a professional club from Novi Sad (from the part of the city dubbed Satelit), founded in 1972. Of the basketball clubs in the national league, BC Star and BC Futog are active, and Liman 3×3 is the most successful Novi Sad club in the 3×3 basketball category. The oldest rowing club in the region was founded back in 1885 in Novi Sad – RC Danubius 1885. The Danube River is also used as a training ground by the Liman Kayak Canoe Club.

In Novi Sad, sports are part of everyday life, so it is not surprising that there are a lot of clubs that prepare children to become top athletes from an early age. The youngest, but also the slightly older citizens of Novi Sad can try their hand at various sports disciplines such as ice hockey, martial arts, shooting, archery, orienteering, artificial rock climbing, athletics, swimming, water polo, volleyball, handball, pétanque and many others.
