The European Destinations website, which works in collaboration with the European Commission, has ranked Novi Sad Winterfest among the best Christmas markets in the Old Continent.
Winterfest in Novi Sad, the second largest city in Serbia and the capital of Vojvodina, is the first and oldest Christmas market in this country. Since 2016, Winterfest has attracted a large number of visitors from other parts of Serbia as well as countries in the region.
The biggest attraction is the big” Singing Christmas Tree, featuring choirs of children and adults from all over Vojvodina every day. As a multicultural province, the choirs are sung in 10 different languages (Serbian, Hungarian, Slovak, Ruthenian, Croatian, Ladino, Yiddish, English, German and Russian),
