Nautical Clubs
In the area of the Danube along the quay and the Ribarsko Ostrvo (Fisherman’s Island) there are a large number of pontoons and moorings used by nautical and sports clubs. This is also the home of the nautical clubs that cooperate with the Tourism Organisation of the City of Novi Sad, their activities and capacities.
Danubius Water Ski Club
Ribarsko ostrvo, Novi Sad
The club fosters water sports and has mooring and floating facilities for boats up to 15 metres in length, electricity and water connection to the pontoon and all-day guard service during the season, from May 15 to October 15. For its members, the club enables the repair of engines (ship and outboard), fuel delivery and the procurement of nautical equipment.

For club members, the following options are available: docking of vessels up to 17 metres, electricity, water supply, free wireless Internet access and Lovers of the Danube – Yachting Eco Club catering services.
Liman Sports and Recreational Ecological Association

The Liman Sports and Recreational Ecological Association was founded in 1985 and is located in the Dunavac distributary in Novi Sad. The club has a berth for the reception of about 100 vessels belonging to the members of the association, measuring up to 15 x 3 m, and displacement of 15 m3, provided that they are off the waterway, with a depth of 3 – 6 metres in the docking zone, with water and electricity installations, toilet, bathroom, guard service (from 10 pm to 7 am) and a restaurant. For possible repairs to engines and vessels, the association mediates in the provision of qualified repairers. There is a gas station near the mooring, as well as shopping markets.
Vojvodina Sailing Club

The Vojvodina Sailing Club is a sports club whose members compete in domestic and international sports sailing regattas and are engaged in recreational nautics. The club is located in the bay on the left bank of the Danube, at the 1,258th kilometre of its flow, and has a hangar for the accommodation of sports sailboats, a mooring for members’ boats, a yard for organised wintering of boats, alongside the čarda (traditional riverside restaurant) with an open garden. The club offers the following: docking of boats up to 12 metres on pontoons for overnight stays, supply of electricity and drinking water, use of sanitary facilities, slipping of boats to the shore and rehabilitation of minor damages, as well as free wireless Internet access.
Danubius 1885 Rowing Club

Danubius is one of the oldest sports collectives in Serbia, founded in 1885. The club won medals at world championships and at the Olympics. In addition to its rich tradition, world-class results and quality coaches, it is, according to many, the most beautiful location in the city. It is located on the Danube, next to the Štrand City Beach and Sunčani Kej, the favourite promenade of Novi Sad residents, only 10 minutes from the city centre. A modern facility with a top-class gym, sauna, boat hangar, rowing and cycling trainers create perfect conditions for achieving top sports results, as well as for recreational activities.
Vojvodina Kayak Canoe Club

The Vojvodina Kayak Canoe Club has existed continuously since 1947, when it was founded as Uskok, the first kayak club in Novi Sad. In 1983, the club changed its name to Vojvodina Kayak Canoe Club. Since its inception, the club has created competitors, participants in world championships and Olympic Games, as well as holders of countless titles in national, federal, Balkan, European and world competitions. The number of team members from the club and the number of medals won speaks volumes about the growing quality of kayaking in Novi Sad. The greatest contribution to this, apart from the coaching work, was the success of club members, winners of gold, silver and bronze medals at European and world competitions. The club brings together young kayakers but also offers recreational programmes for kayak and canoe lovers.
Liman Kayak Canoe Club

The Liman Kayak Canoe Club organises a kayak school, as well as training for competitors. In addition, the club also hosts recreational training programmes for kayaking and paddleboarding. Although recognised as a top-performing club, its mission is to support and encourage rowers of all ages and affinities – from complete beginners to international athletes. On the first weekend in May, starting in 1989, the Liman Kayak Canoe Club organises the May Kayak Cup of Novi Sad, the most massive unofficial kayaking competition in Serbia, which brings together over 300 participants each year.
