Praise for everything we do, were, and are, numerous domestic and foreign awards for promotion, development and contribution to tourism. For the presentation of the tourism industry, the TONS team received an award from the Novi Sad Fair in 2010, and in the same year, at the Sixth Exhibition of Tourist Publications of Serbia, we received a special award in the Tourist Map category. In 2011, we were awarded at the Belgrade Fair, and in 2013, a British tourist guidebook “Rough Guide” ranked Novi Sad among the eight destinations that should be visited in autumn. The first prize for the promo film about Fruška Gora in the category of audio-video publications, as well as the first place for the website https://novisad.travel/ encouraged us to be even better in audio-visual presentation, and we were among the 99 best in tourism promotion in 2017. In September 2018, according to the selection of the international jury, the Tourism Organization of the City of Novi Sad won the prestigious Golden Pincum award for the best Serbian tourist film “Novi Sad City Break”, directed by Lazar Drecun.
According to the opinion of journalists and the YU TRAVEL magazine, the “Golden amphora” was awarded to the Tourism Organization of the City of Novi Sad for successful cooperation with the media, as well as for its involvement in the promotion of Novi Sad as a tourist destination, for the years 2014, 2016 and 2018. Ali Teeman and Nick Connell from Lonely Planet presented an award at the WTM fair in London in November 2018 and officially congratulated Novi Sad on its positioning in the TOP 10 most desirable destinations for 2019. At the end of 2018, as the crown of all the achievements and work of the Tourism Organization of the City of Novi Sad, the “Tourism Flower” award came, the most prestigious award in the field of tourism, which is awarded for the best tourism organization in Serbia. The “Golden Apple”, the prestigious award of the International Federation of Travel Journalists and Writers (FIJET), in 2021 went to Novi Sad. The Tourism Oscar, awarded to Serbian Athens, was established in 1970, and is awarded as a recognition for outstanding efforts in promoting and raising the level of tourism. At the jubilee twentieth “Month of Design” in Ljubljana, Novi Sad was presented with a prestigious award for creative destination – “BIG SEE TOURISM DESIGN AWARDS 2021”. The uniqueness of this award is reflected in the fact that it was awarded for the first year after the start of the corona virus pandemic, when numerous restrictive measures were still in place. One of the most respected British newspapers, “Independent”, included Novi Sad as the European Capital of Culture among ten destinations that should be visited in 2022. Thus, Novi Sad was on the list together with the Maldives, Canada, India, mountains in Austria, etc.
