For cycle tourism enthusiasts, Novi Sad is one of the mandatory stops on their journey from the Atlantic to the Black Sea on the Eurovelo 6 cycling route. This route is one of the most attractive cycling routes through Europe, and its largest and most beautiful part follows the course of the Danube River.
Located in the plain, on the one side, and on the slopes of Fruška Gora, on the other, Novi Sad is an ideal destination for both city riding enthusiasts and those who prefer mountain biking.
Novi Sad has an extensive network of over 100 kilometres of bicycle paths and lanes, more than 10 bicycle associations and clubs operate in it, and there is a public system for renting bicycles (NS Bike), as well as private stores where you can buy, repair, and rent bicycles. Some clubs, in cooperation with local tourist agencies, also organise cycling tours around the city and the surrounding area of Novi Sad. In addition to the city paths, Novi Sad and its surroundings offer numerous circular cycling routes suitable for recreation and exploration.
