On World Tourism Day, September 27, the Tourism Forum of Serbia began at the Planinka Hotel in Kuršumlijska Banja. At the opening ceremony, the attendees were addressed by the representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Youth of the Republic of Serbia, the president of the municipality of Kuršumlija, the manager of the AD Planinka hotel, as well as the director of the Tourist Organization of Serbia, Mrs. Marija Labović.
The Tourism Organization of the City of Novi Sad traditionally participates in this important event.
The Tourism Forum of Serbia, organized by the Tourism Organization of Serbia, aims to educate employees in tourism and exchange knowledge and experience among employees. During the Forum, tourism workers, representatives of local tourism organizations and the media have the opportunity to get acquainted with global trends and challenges in tourism. This is a place where experiences, attitudes, ideas can be exchanged, all with the aim of developing a tourist service and improving Serbia’s tourist offer.
The educational part of the Forum’s program includes lectures on various topics: “Marketing system in tourism of the Republic of Serbia: from the national to the regional level”, “Creating success in digital”; “How to maximize the visibility of the destination on social networks”. The director of TO Novi Sad, Branislav Knežević, participated as a panelist in the first lecture.
The participants of the Forum will be able to get acquainted with the tourist attractions of this area, such as Đavolja Varoš (Devil’s Town), the Monastery of St. Nicholas in Kuršumlija as well as a tour of Prolom Banja.
