SUMMARY:Mileva: We are one rock
DESCRIPTION:The exhibition consists of a very strong visual narrative that will approach the character and work of Mileva Marić Einstein in a striking and different way. It is certainly not a classic documentary and historical presentation\, but more of an art installation that leads visitors to the very centre of events within the new space designed for this occasion. The movement of the audience is conditioned by the displays\, which communicate with them all the time and make the space magical. The author consciously cancels daylight and thereby establishes complete control\, deliberately dividing the space in his composition into “light” and “dark”\, two parts that form one whole and cannot exist independently. SUMMARY:“Spirit of the Place - The First Century of the District" Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The multimedia exhibition “Spirit of the Place – The First Century of the District” is a permanent display that dramatizes and thematizes the space of the District over time. Formerly an industrial complex and now the center of contemporary art\, the District has undergone an extraordinary journey over the last hundred years\, significantly shaping this space. This journey is both an inspiration and the core of the exhibition\, which\, through artistic and scenic means\, using methods of scenic design\, attempts to tell the lesser-known story to the audience. Divided into six stages\, from the founding of the factory\, through World War II and NATO bombing\, to the European Capital of Culture\, the exhibition\, through organization and the construction of space\, seeks to\, at times quite literally\, replicate the turbulence\, progress\, changes\, tragic fates\, chaos\, hope\, and cacophony of an era. Like a reflection in the mirror. Through six thematically\, experientially\, artistically\, and content-wise treated\, as well as physically separate rooms dedicated to specific periods\, the audience will\, through interaction with the rooms\, to a greater or lesser extent\, have the opportunity to learn something new\, to be reminded of the old and forgotten\, to directly participate\, play and explore\, with their senses and body. The specificity of the exhibition lies in the fact that\, although it deals with specific time\, place\, and events\, “Spirit of the Place” is not an archival exhibition of artifacts and facts but an exhibition of storytelling and creating new experiences. Its other specificity is the way it builds and questions the artistic work\, the room-work. Each of its six rooms is conceived as an installation\, and therefore each of them is built as such. DESCRIPTION:A New Eco-Cultural Performance in Novi Sad\nNovi Sad is becoming the hub of an innovative cultural and ecological initiative through a multi-week performance titled Walking Forest (Hodajuća šuma). This project explores the synergy between the city and nature by installing temporary urban tree installations in public spaces lacking natural greenery. The initiative is part of the international TARGET project\, implemented by the City Administration for Environmental Protection in cooperation with partner organisations from Serbia and Hungary. \nEcology and Art in the Service of Urban Greening\nThe primary goal of the Walking Forest is to enhance ecological awareness and assist the community in adapting to climate change. By using mobile planters with mature trees\, the TARGET project highlights the necessity of afforestation in densely populated urban areas. Beyond the aesthetic transformation of the city\, this performance serves as an educational platform for all generations\, encouraging dialogue on the future of sustainable development in Novi Sad. \nThree Locations and Participatory Programme for Citizens\nThe programme is planned across three phases. DESCRIPTION:Nostalgia on Vojvodina’s Roads\nMotorcycle enthusiasts and fans of the famous two-wheelers have the opportunity to experience a unique event called Tomosijada. As the only gathering of its kind in Serbia\, it is dedicated to preserving the memory of the legendary Tomos mopeds and motorcycles that defined the era of Yugoslav motorcycling. Bringing together enthusiasts from across the entire region\, this event plays a vital role in safeguarding technical heritage\, whilst dynamically promoting retro culture and motorcycle tourism within the Vojvodina region. \nRoute and Group Ride Programme\nThe Tomosijada programme commences in Kać with the traditional gathering at 10:00 am on the plateau in front of the “Moto-Bike” premises. Following an opportunity for socialising\, the organised convoy will depart at 1:00 pm for a scenic ride through Budisava\, Šajkaš\, and Mošorin\, heading all the way to Titel\, where a rest break by the Tisa River is scheduled. The return journey via Vilovo\, Gardinovci\, and Kovilj back to Kać is expected at 4:00 pm. \nSafety First\nTo ensure the safety of the more than 400 anticipated participants\, a continuous escort and a technical support vehicle will be provided. DESCRIPTION:Interfest is an international wine festival that promotes wine and wine culture\, with a special emphasis on the wines of Vojvodina and Fruška Gora\, as well as the Novi Sad Wine Route. From the very idea in 2003\, when the modern Serbian wine scene was still in its infancy\, the organizers decided that this festival would be of an international character and that from the beginning local wines would be put on scene along with wines from the region and the world. SUMMARY:"Zlatá Brána" Children's Folklore Festival
DESCRIPTION:The “Zlatá Brána” Children’s Folklore Festival is one of the most significant traditional events of the Slovak national minority in Vojvodina. Held annually at the end of the school year\, this event brings together more than a thousand children — from preschool age up to 15 years old — from across the province\, as well as visiting guest ensembles from abroad. The courtyard of the “Ljudovit Štur” Primary School in Kisač is transformed into an open-air amphitheatre and a true children’s castle filled with song and dance. \nTradition and Togetherness through the “Zlatá Brána” Children’s Folklore Festival\nEstablished in 1993 to commemorate the 220th anniversary of the arrival of Slovaks in Kisač\, the festival was founded with the aim of nurturing a love for traditional culture among the youngest generations. Through children’s games\, song\, and folklore\, the participants become guardians of their ancestors’ rich heritage and bearers of historical messages. DESCRIPTION:The Homeland Assembly – Scythe Mowing event is organised by the “Manjača” Homeland Association in cooperation with the Alliance of Krajina Associations\, with the aim of preserving the culture\, traditions\, and customs of Serbs from the western part of Bosanska Krajina. \nNurturing Tradition and Homeland Identity\nThis significant interregional gathering connects kindred associations and individuals\, promoting their ancestral homeland while highlighting Bukovac as their current place of residence and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Vojvodina. By passing down these customs to younger generations\, the Homeland Assembly – Scythe Mowing successfully safeguards collective memory and identity. A special segment of the event will be dedicated to traditional gastronomy and authentic dishes that were once prepared by the women of these regions. \nTraditional Sports\, Chivalric Games\, and Competitions\nThe day-long programme at the Selište plateau is divided into a sports-chivalric and a cultural-artistic segment\, with the manual scythe mowing competition taking centre stage.
